' MORE ON VICTOR VALDES SIGNED FOR BORO '

The World Cup winning goalkeeper has signed a two-year contract with the newly promoted Middlesbrough after a torrid 18-month spell at Manchester United came to an end when he was released this summer.

Head coach Aitor Karanka is ecstatic with his fifth signing of the summer and told the club's official website: "You can't imagine how delighted I am because it's not usual to bring players like him to recently promoted teams.

"I'm really pleased because he is really committed. All the the conversations we've had he knows why he is here and he is coming to add to what we have. He knows how strong this group is. It's a privilege for us to be able to bring a player like this to the club."

Today we host the home coming of our hero's the semi finalists of UEFA 2016 the National football team.

Arguably one of (in my opinion the greatest) the greatest ever sporting achievements by a welsh team in any sport.

I am sure you will turn out in numbers along with the rest of Wales to celebrate this achievement as the players make their way on a open top bus from the Castle to the Cardiff city stadium.

Many of us have changed plans to make sure we were back from France in time to welcome the team back. so with the rest of Wales , all the supporters making 3 4 hour journeys from north and west Wales to be part of this celebration, come and sample what the fans who were able to make the journey to France expierenced out there supporting the team.

Yes we didn't win a trophy but we are one of the smallest countries ever to make it into a major tournament semi final. Moments like these are rare and must be grasped and savoured to cherish forever.

This team have inspired and united a whole nation from being ranked 112 to a top 10 team in the WORLD FIFA RANKINGS, this is the start of bigger things to come. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Cymru am byth ‪#‎together stronger‬

We are Welsh and we are Proud :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

ENGLAND MANAGER SEARCH UPDATE

The three-man FA panel met last Friday in Paris to begin the search for a new England manager and came to an agreement on three key action points to target going forward:

1) A full assessment of Euro 2016 including consultation internally and externally with key figures across the game.

2) A review of England across previous senior tournaments including consultation with key influencers, including Gary Lineker, Rio Ferdinand, Frank Lampard and Harry Redknapp who will be contacted in the context of being respected figure, not in relation to him taken on the role.

3) Identify suitable candidates as part of set criteria as part of pre-tournament succession plan which has been updated since England were eliminated from the Euros. These updates surround trends of the Euros and availability of candidates.

The FA say the new manager will be capable of 'building a strong team identity' and will also have a strong tactical knowledge and strong mindedness. They will also be able to invest quality time in the shaping the identity and will work with development teams.

They are also looking to build a long-term plan in a similar vein to France, Germany and Spain, but there is no timescale in appointing a replacement and have not ruled out an interim manager.

PAUL INCE: PAUL POGBA PERFECT BUY

Paul Pogba would be the perfect signing to lead Manchester United's charge for the Premier League title, according to Paul Ince.

"Sir Alex Ferguson would have been disappointed to have lost him at such a young age," Ince told Sky Sports News HQ. "But I think his style of football will suit the Premier League more than the Spanish league.

"Pogba now coming into a league where it is tough, where he can show what he's all about, I think is a perfect fit for him and for Man United.

"Who he plays alongside, whether it's [Michael] Carrick, [Morgan] Schneiderlin or [Bastian] Schweinsteiger - I don't know. But if United can get Pogba then that sends out the signal that we are really going for it this year."

Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud has played down rumours linking him to Liverpool move, and insists the Bundesliga club has all of his attention.

“I am fully focused on Monchengladbach at the moment,” he told German sports outlet Kicker.

“Who says I should leave Gladbach? I still have room for improvement. My finishing has to improve, I have to get stronger in the air and I can still improve physically to get stronger on the pitch.”

Crazy transfer fees (and often for average players). Where will it end. Every year i think it can't continue yet fees keep going up season after season.

And even worse are the wages. A few season ago i could not believe it when players were creeping towards the £100,000 per week figure. This week Tevez supposedly demanding,£250,000 per week.

Football world's gone mad.

Chris Coleman wants Wales to stay at Cardiff City Stadium

By Stephen Turner

Friday 08/07/16

Chris Coleman says he is positive about the future after Wales reached the last four at Euro 2016

Chris Coleman says Wales should not "mess about" with a winning formula by moving to the Millennium Stadium for World Cup qualifying.

Football's stock is at an all-time high in the rugby-loving principality thanks to the achievement of Coleman's side in reaching the Euro 2016 semi-finals.

Thousands turned out at Cardiff's biggest venue - now named the Principality Stadium - just to watch their defeat to Portugal on a big screen.

But Coleman wants to stick at the 33,000-capacity Cardiff City Stadium, where Wales conceded just one goal in five unbeaten games during qualifying for France.

Speaking at a final press conference in Dinard before boarding the plane for a Cardiff homecoming parade, the manager said: "Cardiff City Stadium is our home,

"We get 30,000 sellouts where the atmosphere is electric. It's where in the last campaign a feeling was generated by our supporters that had a huge impact on the team. We shouldn't forget that
