Wales teams to get 100,000-strong heroes' welcome when they return from Euro 2016

More than 100,000 fans are expected to line the streets of Cardiff tomorrow when Wales ’ Euro 2016 squad return home from France.

Chris Coleman ’s side are set to get a welcome fit for heroes.

Although they missed out on a place in Sunday’s final after losing 2-0 to Portugal, it was the first time a Wales side had reached the semi-finals of a major tournament.

The squad have been relaxing at their base in Dinard, Brittany.

Their triumphant return will begin when First Minister Carwyn Jones welcomes the Red Dragons off the plane, due at Cardiff airport this afternoon.

It is a pity that schools have not arranged a half day for tomorrow, most kids will miss the parade, with schools finishing between
3-15 to 3-30
