" VILLA 'BID £5MILL FOR TSHIBOLA' "

Aston Villa have made a £5m bid for Reading midfielder Aaron Tshibola, according to the Daily Telegraph.

The 21-year-old is a former England U18 international, and reportedly gained interest from Norwich last month.

New manager Roberto Di Matteo has made one signing this summer in Bournemouth defender Tommy Elphick.





" DE ROON JOINS BORO "

Middlesbrough have completed the signing of defensive midfielder Marten de Roon from Serie A side Atalanta.

The 25-year-old Dutchman impressed during his one season in Italy, having started out at Sparta Rotterdam and then Heerenveen.






' FERNANDO TORRES '

Fernando Torres has signed a new one-year contract at Atletico Madrid to prolong his stay at his boyhood club.

The 32-year-old would have been a free agent in the summer with his contract expiring, but reports in Spain had suggested the he would sign a new deal.

He returned to Atletico from Chelsea in 2014 after an unsuccessful loan spell with AC Milan.

SLOTH MOVES TO DENMARK

Leeds United’s midfielder Casper Sloth has left the club to sign for Danish club Aalborg for an undisclosed fee.

The 24-year-old made 14 appearances in his first season at Elland Road, and had one year left on his contract having joined in August 2014.

BARCA SIGN DENIS SUAREZ

Barcelona have confirmed the signing of Denis Suarez from Villarreal, subject to a medical tomorrow.

Luis Enrique's side have exercised their buy-back option to re-sign Suarez, who left the Nou Camp for Villarreal last season and starred as they reached the Europa League semi-finals.

Suarez played youth football at Man City.

Real Madrid are weighing up a £35m move for Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.


Robin van Persie has been offered to Crystal Palace and West Ham as Fenerbahce attempt to offload the striker.

Paul Pogba would prefer a move to Real Madrid or Barcelona instead of the Premier League.

FOREST CLOSE TO LAM DEAL

Nottingham Forest appear to be on the brink of completing the signing of Thomas Lam after the defender posted a picture of himself on social media putting pen to paper on a contract.

The Finland international centre-back, who was pictured alongside Forest financial director Lalou Tifrit, looks to be heading to the City Ground from Dutch club PEC Zwolle on a free transfer.




COVENTRY SIGN SORDELL

Coventry City have confirmed the signing of former Burnley forward Marvin Sordell on a one-year contract, with the club holding the option of a further year.

Coventry manager Tony Mowbray told the club's website: "Marvin is a player that the club followed closely last year and was a prime target for us in the summer window."





LEICESTER AGREE MUSA FEE

Sky sources understand Leicester City have agreed a fee with CSKA Moscow for the signing of Ahmed Musa.

The Nigeria international is set to head to the UK on Tuesday for a medical and to discuss personal terms with the Premier League champions.







WEST BROM BID FOR PHILLIPS

West Bromwich Albion have agreed a £5.5m fee with Queens Park Rangers for forward Matt Phillips, Sky sources understand.

Phillips must pass a medical and agree personal terms before the transfer can be confirmed.

STEVENAGE SIGN LIBURD

Stevenage have splashed out a five-figure fee to sign striker Rowan Liburd from Reading.

The 23-year-old joined Reading from Billericay Town in July 2015 and made three substitute senior appearances.

Liburd, who scored 11 goals in 14 games for the Royals' Under-21 side last term, knows Sky Bet League Two from his loan spell at Wycombe earlier this year.

Defensive midfielder Ben Tozer has become Newport's latest signing.

The 26-year-old, formerly of Swindon, Newcastle, Northampton and Yeovil, has put pen to paper on a one-year deal with the Sky Bet League Two side.

JURADO LEAVES WATFORD

Watford have confirmed the departure of midfielder Jose Manuel Jurado to Espanyol.

The Spaniard, 30, signed for the Hornets from Spartak Moscow in July 2015.

Jurado made 30 appearances for Watford, but is no longer in the first-team plans of incoming manager Walter Mazzarri.

BENITEZ: WE DON'T NEED TO SELL

Rafa Benitez says Newcastle do not need to sell any more players as they prepare for life in the Sky Bet Championship.

"We knew we might lose players, especially Andros because he had a great season and he wanted to play in the Premier League," Benitez told Sky Sports News HQ.

"I'm happy with the players that we have and we don't have to sell anybody. Maybe some clubs will come in [with transfer offers] and we will have to analyse each one."

MOURINHO'S TRANSFER HINT

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Eric Bailly are already confirmed signings for Manchester United, while Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been strongly linked. Could Jose Mourinho be talking about the Borussia Dortmund attacker here...

"Is the third player official yet? No. It will be a official soon," Mourinho said. "We made a nucleus of four positions as priority to give a certain balance to the squad, and a push in terms of quality that I want.

"From these targets we have three, until we have the fourth we are working hard on that, with Mr Woodward and the owners. When we have them we will breathe, we will be stable, and the market will still be open."

SWANSEA CONFIRM FER

Swansea City have completed their first business of the summer after signing Leroy Fer from Queens Park Rangers for an undisclosed fee.

The midfielder, who has signed a three-year contract, returns to the Liberty Stadium on a permanent deal following a successful loan spell with the Swans last season.

COLOCCINI LEAVES NEWCASTLE

Fabricio Coloccini’s Newcastle contract has been terminated by mutual consent, the club have confirmed.

The Argentine defender, who made 275 appearances for Newcastle in all competitions, will now return to his homeland to play for San Lorenzo.

Managing director Lee Charnley said: "It is rare in football these days that a player gives such length of service to one club and I would like to thank Colo for his contribution to Newcastle United since he joined us before the start of the 2008/09 season.

"In the eight years he has been with us, Colo has become a firm friend and colleague to many players and staff, past and present, who I know will miss him. We wish him all the very best for his future career."

LEEDS SIGN SACKO ON LOAN

Leeds United have confirmed the signing of Hadi Sacko on loan from Sporting Lisbon, with the Championship club holding the option to make the switch permanent.

The French winger will spend the season at Elland Road and has already linked up with the squad on its pre-season tour of Ireland.
