' BREAKING NEWS NIGEL FARAGE '

Nigel Farage steps down from UKIP

Hes made the decision as "I said I wanted my Country back and now I want my life back"

The leading 'out' campaigners got what they wanted, and now they have absolutely no idea what to do next. The easiest option seems to be to leg it, and let others try to sort out the mess left behind.

Nigel Farage quits to spend more time with his ego - again.... He's a hypocritical, self publicist; close the door behind you prick and good riddance. I would quite like my country back after you and your cronies f*cking lies persuaded many to vote to leave.

How many times has he "resigned" now? Of course only to return like a bad memory. He won't be resigned long; he likes the attention too much. Sadly, he'll be back!

He is a horrible little b******d but as a politician he was way ahead of his contemporary's in being able to connect with them his vision for the UK outside of the EU.

I voted out but I have to admit him standing in front of that poster of Syrian refugees was not his finest moment.

That said UKIP will struggle to replace him with a leader who can make the same impact.

It's fair to say that Nigel Farage has achieved his basic aim (out of the EU) and has now 'legged it' before he can be asked "How do we move forward, Nigel?"

I voted Brexit (still happy with that decision, unlike several others I've spoken to who appear genuinely worried by their own success  ) but I was never a UKIP/Farage supporter and I never realistically expected much from him other than the divisive rhetoric we actually got!

In reality, he was never going to play a major part in what happens next and he knows that, so better he gets out whilst his stock (amongst his followers) is still high ;)

The world (and specifically the UK) moves on minus one more 'millstone' around its neck! :ayatollah:

Agree with this, the only bit I have to add is, will we see Farage becoming a Torie?

Genuine question - Now that UKIP have achieved their political ambition, what is the point of the "party" continuing?
Will all their members just now pack up and go back to where they came from in the Tory party, BNP, Britain First, National Front etc?

I think he realises that Ukip's days are numbered. I am sure he will join the tories after a short break.
