England consider Glenn Hoddle as their next manager

Friday 1st July 2016

Glenn Hoddle's controversial departure from the England manager's job in 1999 will not preclude him being considered by the FA as an interim successor to Roy Hodgson, with Arsene Wenger expected to follow Gareth Southgate in ruling himself out of the running for the position

I don't think it's desperate at all.

While Hoddle went a bit wacky he is without doubt a very talented coach and maybe just what England need.

Always been England's problem-they can't see the wood for the trees.

I don't mind Hoddle the Coach/Manager and I would have him at the CCS if/when we ever got back to the top table, as I think he is a top tactician and thinks his way through games

His eccentricity sets him apart a little but much of that was the gutter Press trying to knock down those they originally set up on a pedestal ;)

What made me laugh more was Alan Pardew's reaction to the news Alan Shearer wants the job...

"It makes my blood boil" he stated!

Quite right, too...although I think Shearer would have the support of many other nations supporters! LOL :laughing6:
