Cardiff City season ticket prices in top five

Cardiff City’s season ticket prices are the fifth cheapest in the Championship following price reductions this season.

You could save hundreds of pounds by purchasing a Cardiff City season ticket compared to other Championship clubs, according to research done by the Express. The Bluebirds season ticket prices are the fifth cheapest in the Sky Bet Championship.

The Bluebirds reduced their season ticket prices this season and the new prices were accompanied by a price freeze offer which was available earlier in the year. Adult season tickets are available at the Cardiff City Stadium for as little at £299, with the most expensive coming in at £519.

Elsewhere in the league, Huddersfield Town offer the cheapest with a renewal price of just £179, while Wigan, Birmingham and Blackburn occupy the rest of the top five.

At the other end of the scale, Norwich City offer the most expensive season ticket with prices starting at a startling £585 and ending at £646. The Canaries’ cheapest season ticket is more than £250 more than Cardiff City’s cheapest seat.

Brighton, QPR, Sheffield Wednesday and Ipswich Town are also ranked in the five most expensive clubs to watch for the season. Perhaps surprisingly, former Premier League clubs Aston Villa and Newcastle United are both ranked in the top ten cheapest when compared with their new rivals.

Thats fair enough but even with some really cheap prices for the kids, City have not sold as many as last season and thats worrying

Even our club are worried.

Bradford City in a division lower have sold over 18,000 season tickets.
Huddersfield Town over 14,000 season tickets.
Both these clubs are surrounded by at least 20 other clubs, we have no one to compete with.

Id bet that most people have spent a lot of money going back and fore to France so probably wont bother.

If we are doing well then tickets will sell.

If we play the same kind of football and are not looking like pushing on sales will stay low and cheap tickets will again be everywhere. Season tickets may be cheaper compared to other clubs but it always the best way if you cant go every week. I save a hell of a lot last season and got to every game I wanted to go to.

what a misleading headline - 'top five' implies they are the in the most expensive, not the cheapest.

Re: Bradford and Huddersfield - you can keep that chief, like you no doubt I have been to those places and Cardiff is a palace in comparison. Who cares about them - I don't, I care about the City, and if people don't want a ST that's fine, as on poster says plenty will be there if we start playing some decent football.

Anyhow - let's have a dig at the club again ay? Might not be your intention guys but it does become a drag on here.

I have to disagree strongly with the assertion this is a misleading headline. How on earth 'top five' automatically equates to a negative really is stretching the imagination to suit, dare I say it, and loathe to say it, an agenda.

We never made the headline, it was written by the reporter.
But to make you happy I've added Cheapest just for you.
As to other clubs season ticket sales of course it matters and its a big concern to our club that ours is getting lower every season.

Cardiff City need to connect with our fans even more, they have started, but theres a lot lot more to be done.
