A limited number of tickets went on sale from UEFA this afternoon but most fans struggled to get one
Tickets for Wales' quarter-final showdown with Belgium are being sold for exorbitant prices by online touts amid warnings from UEFA they have been alerted to 'numerous' instances of fans purchasing invalid tickets on the black market and being denied entry to stadiums.

Some category four tickets for the game, with a face value of £37.50, have been offered on viagogo.com at prices of £150,000 for a pair.

Most tickets are offered at a significantly lower price than that, but could still set fans back up to £10,000 for a pair.

The final tickets for the game were put on sale by UEFA at 2pm today on the organisation's official website, but sold out swiftly leaving many Wales fans voicing their despair on social media.

Only supporters who had secured tickets through the 'follow your team' scheme were guaranteed tickets to the team's knockout games in the tournament.

The Wales football team have earned a staggering £11m so far because of Euro 2016 success
Under that scheme, the lucky few purchased tickets for the tournament to be reimbursed as and when Wales were knocked out.

UEFA had last night warned of the dangers of ticket touts, telling fans: "Remaining tickets for the first two UEFA Euro 2016 quarter-finals will go on sale here at 14:00CEST on Monday, with fans advised to join the queue at 13:45.

"Tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis. Fans are reminded that buying through the official Euro2016.com ticket portal is the only guarantee of entry to matches at Le Rendez-Vous.

"Unfortunately, UEFA has been alerted to numerous instances of fans purchasing invalid tickets on the black market and being denied entry to stadiums in France.

"Once more, a reminder: touted tickets are often forgeries, and are no guarantee of admission."

The game takes place in the Stade Pierre-Mauroy, Lille, which has a capacity of 52,000.
