Defender Wes Brown is currently training with Championship side Blackburn Rovers with a view to possibly moving to Ewood Park this summer, according to Sky sources.

The 36-year-old left Sunderland at the end of last season after the Wearsiders opted not to hand him a new contract at the Stadium of Light.

Couldn't agree more, he had the potential to be an outstanding defender years ago but injuries and age have caught up with him. Unlikely to make any impact in the championship...will probably turn out to be a huge waste of money to whoever signs him
