Wales scraped past Northern Ireland and into the quarter-finals of Euro 2016 with a Gareth McAuley own goal at Parc des Princes in Paris.

There was little between the teams in a tense and nervy encounter, until centre-half McAuley turned Gareth Bale's cross into his own net.

I was born in England but my gran is welsh. Im made up for wales. For me they will go further in the tournament than England. They are a proper team and Bale was right you have more passion. Best of luck

cheers dobbin . a great win for us today but a bit gutted as i was going over for the game but been struck down with a cold virus since coming back from the england game so watched it on the box

I was born in England but my gran is welsh. Im made up for wales. For me they will go further in the tournament than England. They are a proper team and Bale was right you have more passion. Best of luck

Nothing worse than that being rough and missing football

Yes and yes England should win but I am not taking anything for granted - I always maintain at a euro tournament we are a semi final side at very best and World Cup we will always struggle to even make the quarters so don't have any real expectations - just go and enjoy and meet up with mates

The best thing that happened to England this tournament was Bale scoring that free kick just before half time against us - forced changes and kept us in tournament otherwise we would have been long time home
