The EU pours millions of pounds of money into Welsh projects which will now come to an end. Future major improvement projects like the M4 relief road and the rail electrification project will be put on hold.
We now have to hope and prey that Boris and his Eton chums break the habit of a lifetime and invest any Brexit savings in Wales. But I won't hold my breath.
Why any sane Welsh person would vote for this state of affairs is beyond me.

Like i said in my previous thread. The uneducated vote on eu subject matter won through. The referendum was like a bye election kicking .Now we'll get borris. However, what the leave people dont realise is that it was all a negotiating tactic to get a better deal and we are not leaving anything. Furthermore, the 350 nhs bus is now in the scrap yard and was all lies. Grounds for a revote???

Well done Welsh vote you just closed port talbot steel works.
Several bidders for Tata Steel's British operations are close to abandoning talks with their Indian owner as the outcome of the EU referendum threatens to deepen the crisis enveloping the UK's biggest steel producer.
Sky News has learnt that the billionaire tycoon Wilbur Ross, who is among seven bidders shortlisted for Tata Steel's UK business, has signalled that exiting the EU would diminish the prospects of him pursuing a takeover.
A number of other prospective buyers are understood to have similar concerns about the potential impact of Brexit on global demand for steel, the robustness of new trade deals negotiated by the Government, and the ability to sell steel produced in the UK in the European single market.
"Wilbur has been reasonably open that this deal is far less attractive if Brexit happens," said a person who has discussed the Tata Steel situation with Mr Ross.
Sources said this weekend that Tata Steel, which employs roughly 11,000 people in the UK, had raised the possibility of putting its British business into some form of liquidation, although they added that no decisions had been taken.
The company owns the vast Port Talbot steelworks in South Wales as well as smaller sites across the country.
The remaining bidders for Tata Steel's UK operations have been told by advisers to the company that they will be updated early next week on its intentions, according to a person close to the situation.
Prior to the referendum, Tata Steel had indicated to the Government that it was leaning towards retaining the bulk of its UK business, aided by a support package comprising an equity injection, loans and a possible restructuring of the British Steel Pension Scheme.
However, the vote to leave the EU has made that outcome less likely, a source said.
If Tata Steel did elect to walk away from its British operations - and found it impossible to sell them - the decision would escalate the industrial crisis confronting a key manufacturing sector as well as the political crisis facing Sajid Javid, the Business Secretary.

You honestly think a Tory government is going to give a toss about backwater areas that dont vote for them. Wales will get jack shi...... to replace eu funding. You just tucked yourself all up.

Not wanting to get involved in the politics, but my initial gut feel is that your right, in fact I can smell the smell of fear emanating from Cardiff Bay already.
I just hope that the WAG is not reduced to political prostitution, with a leaky begging bowl,,,fighting for the scraps that fall off Westminster's financial table.
As for BJ & Co, they don't give a shit for Wales, & I don't think that they ever will!

the problem is that the EU foreign ministers are imploring us to invoke Article 50 and once that happens the process becomes law - until then it is only an advisory result to the British Government as a referendum result is not legally binding hence how Ireland kept having referendums until they got the result that was required. We now have a stand off where we will try hold off because the leave camp have no exit strategy whatsoever and the rest of the big players in the EU don't want the uncertainty us not implementing it will cause. We have already lost the equivalent of 40 years contributions to the EU - £350 billion off our budget and Carney has to make £250 billion available to prop up the banks, so £600 billion lost already as a result with the markets only open for one day since the vote. What a mess and I am genuinely sure that many people who voted leave didn't want this sort of situation and felt they were voting for something rather different.

We join eu in 1975 as the poorest part of the uk.we leave in 2016 in the same position.

If the EU is so good for Wales how are we regarded as a poor nation after being members for over 40 years?

Sadly the Welsh, like the Scots, are conditioned to blame the evil Tories for all their problems. Your post absolutely nails the fact that the EU has not benefitted Wales.

Perhaps a case of mismanagement of funds. Money wasted on major financial investments such as LG and others rather than it not benefitting Wales.

I am staggered that people have 'trust' in an anti-Welsh Conservative Government. The money we pay in taxes that ends up in the EU and then back invested in Wales will now go to central Government coffers and spent on Conservative Government priorities.
Honestly, people who voted out have just cut off their nose to spite their face.
While I believe the EU has some significant problems coming out now means that we defer decisions to the English parliament.. and quite franky I trust the EU programmes and investment far more than I trust the UK parliament to ensure the interest of Wales are upheld and invested in.

Absolutely,,,,& if Boris & his cronies come to power then they will view Wales & the Welsh people as little more than "peasants", living in an impoverished, back water area of his lordships manor.
We will soon see how much "power"the WAG really has!
