Lets do it

Fri Jun 24, 2016 7:36 am

Still in the EU for the next couple of years and the next few weeks will be interesting to say the least with all the scare mongering and initial uncertainty. The EU and the rest of the world will look at this and either think idiots OR good on you for having the balls to do it!!
After that who knows but we will be the makers of our and our kids futures. It's in our hands. Lets not let them or ourselves down!
Scared yes, nervous yes excited yes so
let's do this UK, roll our sleeves up and crack in with it. The world will not stop spinning today.......respect people's choice !!!!

I'm happy with the result... But right now I'm more concerned about Wales v Ireland playing tomorrow.

Watch the UK fall apart with the SNP calling for another referendum on independence and N. Ireland set to follow suit.
Boris Johnson as our most likely next PM......... well done to all who voted out!

Well that will be the majority of us who voted then. I survived perfectly well before we joined and I'm sure I will carry on surviving now we've left. Heard someone say house prices will plummet. So what. If my house drops 50% the house I want to buy will have done the same. May help more youngsters get on the housing ladder and hit the profits of unscrupulous landlords who rip their tennants off for years, then kick them out so that they can sell the property at a nice profit. When my wife gets her next pay and I get my next pension, it will be the same as last month. When we go shopping, we will be paying pretty much the same as we did last week. It may affect the fatcats, won't make much difference to the ordinary person.

Well, the fat lady has sung and you have to except that it was a fair vote.I hope now that that the people that swayed the heads of the out voters will make good on their promises.

unless you have to live with this decision for the next fifty plus years like the 64% of those under 25 who voted to remain will have to - my kids and my grandchildren. Now they can no longer take advantage of the biggest free jobs market on the planet.

There's a whole big world out there to trade with, most with growing economies unlike the stagnant EU economy. We will no longer be stifled by EU red tape, and in the next 50 years I would bet that the EU will be completely changed. Some of their stock markets are down double the amount of the FTSE, hardly surprising as they won't have our money to keep them afloat for much longer.

I feel ashamed to be Welsh this morning. Rather than vote to help protect investment in Wales, like the Scots and Irish did, we've voted to support an English agenda which seems to be about hating anyone who isn't English. I still don't get why people voted against EU membership because to me it provided a very rich market, great social policy and it could act as a policeman for the world.

Instead Welsh people have, in my mind, become narrow minded little englanders saddled with hate and fear. So much so I can hardly be bothered to support Wales tomorrow - what's the point? We're so far up English arses we might as well disband our team and support England.

The only good thing i can see from all this is that people have engage with the political process and the Brexit vote must be respected by all.

I'm very depressed and worried for the future of Wales today.

The UK as a whole paid in much much more than it got out, that is a fact, we are leaving a EU with huge unemployment, and huge debt and migrant crisis with Spain, Italy and Greece in the shit the most, they sell far more to us, than we sell to them.. trade will go on, we will be fine when the dust settles, we gave them 12 billion a year after we got our 5 billion back, so Wales and the UK will be just fine.

To be honest I think England, particularly the south east, will do well out of Brexit as the government will reward voters with tax cuts.

However, I can't see any incentive for a right wing Tory government to send any of the savings from Brexit over the Severn Bridge as they get very few votes here.

London and the SE will be fine but I fear Wales will be well and truly fucked.

But why a right wing Tory government. We don't know who will be in power when we finally get out. The EU wheels turn notoriously slowly.

Way people are talking is that EU won't trade with us all the laws will be abolished that were made by EU ect ect when in fact we will be free to trade with whoever we like and make own laws! ! can just see France stopping exporting cars, apples, wine Spain/greece blocking taurists ect can go on but they need us as much as we need them upto a point! Given time more countries will leave EU and life will settle down before we were in EU. As for London abandoning Wales now that is scaremongering!!

In October Boris Johnson will be elected Prime Minister, Michael Gove Chancellor and Nigel Farage will get either Home or Foreign Secretary and everything will be fine.

Jesus christ I feel like slapping you right now, wake up out of that coma you are in... For the last 25 years the Welsh have lived off EU handouts which was supposed to have improved our economy, to date we have over 40% of people economically inactive in our country, this out vote will mean times will get tougher for the bone idle!

God some drama queens

There are plenty of countries out there doing well for themselves without the economy of the UK

Time to get on with making this country work well. Maybe we will have to start making things again which will provide jobs
