Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs is interested in managing in the Championship having been linked to the vacant Forest job, according to the Daily Mail.
Reports suggest that he is keen to take on a managerial role and end his 29-year association with Manchester United to manage Forest, but according to reports Steve Evans is the favourite for the job.
No Championship side has made an approach for Giggs, who will be replaced Rui Faria at United as Mourinho’s assistant.
If Giggs does not go to Nottingham Forest he may have to look abroad, as moves to Oldham and Southampton are unlikely.
Giggs served as assistant to Louis Van Gaal and David Moyes and fans have suggested that he should be manager as he knows the club better than most, but the arrival of Mourinho has pushed him towards the exit door.
Giggs has a year on his contract at Old Trafford and senior officials haven’t given up on retaining him and want him to work with the youngsters, but they do feel this is unlikely with Giggs keen on a managerial job which Forest may provide him with.
