ASHLEY WILLIAMS WALES CAPTAIN
Tuesday 21st June 2016
Wales' players traditionally come together in a circle following games and Williams was seen issuing a rallying cry as he brought together dejected teammates in the immediate aftermath of Thursday's agonising defeat to England in Lens.
But rather than any inspirational message, Williams said he kept it simple as he struggled to find the right words to fit the incredible evening.
Wales are bossing Euro 2016 right now
Williams, who won his 62 cap in Toulouse, said: “At the end I just said to them, 'Boys we always do a huddle at the end but I don't know what to say today'. That was that, it was just to make sure we enjoyed the evening and that moment.”
Wales will celebrate today with their first day away from the training base, the squad remaining in Toulouse to meet with family with a group barbecue planned to toast the qualification from the group stage.

The day had been planned regardless of progress, boss Coleman having taken a decision back in March to ban WAGs from the team hotel in Dinard until after the group stage.
But Williams said it won't be long before the eyes are back on the job at hand, adding: “It will be great to see the family and kids again, we've not seen them since we started, we all need that so much.
"We've got a barbecue planned.. We're not going to go crazy, there'll be no up all night drinking sessions like there was after Bosnia, we'll enjoy it in our own way and I think we've earned and deserved that.
"We'll be back at it then, we'll be doing recovery and then look to see who we get and prepare for that.”
