' CONTE LIKES GIACCHERINI A LOT'

Sunderland striker Emanuele Giaccherini may join Chelsea next season, according to the player's agent.

The Italy international spent last season out on loan with Serie A side Bologna.

However, Giaccherini's representative Furio Valcareggi says his client could team up again with new Chelsea boss Antonio Conte next season after the duo worked together at Juventus between 2011-13.

“Giaccherini is a player who played 80 per cent of the games for a Juventus that had Pogba, Pirlo, Vidal and Marchisio in the midfield,” Valcareggi told SportItalia.

“Conte likes him a lot and Chelsea would be a dream.

“It’s still too early to talk about his future. After the Euros, whoever wants to buy him will not have to pay a high price to Sunderland.”
