Josh Magennis the player Cardiff converted from a goalkeeper to a striker is a key player for Northern Ireland in the Euros.Another striker that we considered, not good enough?

I think DJ initially sent him out on loan after he broke his leg against Blackpool and he did well in Scotland and was signed by Aberdeen?

Has 15 caps so far.

I think the point that other posters were trying to make is that the headline "stars for Irish" is very misleading.

The 15 caps he has gained have been over a six year period and he has scored just the one goal.
He has earned himself a decent professional career since leaving CCFC but cannot really be described as a star, especially at International level

Judging by content of op he's having dig at fact another forward who's made it "big" as left city after not been given chance

No he isn't. The content says no such thing. It says Josh Magennis is a star for Northern Ireland when he isn't and says he is a key player for them- again he isn't.

He was let go by CCFC when he was not close to forcing his way into the first team on a regular basis as he wasn't up to the standard needed at the time.

That's my point there as been several threads regarding players released by city who go on to bigger things after leaving city but hey oh only my opinion regarding this post!

Has he gone on to better things?

Don't think he would make the city team now even when we struggle for strikers.
