PJANIC COMPLETES JUVENTUS DEAL

Juventus have signed Miralem Pjanic from rivals Roma for a fee of £25m, the Serie A champions have announced.

The versatile Bosnian midfielder asked to leave the Giallorossi last week after Juve declared their interest in his services.

The 26-year-old has signed a five-year contract with the Bianconeri, after passing a medical. He scored 10 goals, making 12 assists, as Roma finished third.

New Leeds boss Garry Monk has added Pep Clotet and Darryl Flahavan to his coaching staff.

Spaniard Clotet, 39, was Monk's assistant at Swansea and has taken the same role with the Whites.

Recently-retired Flahavan, 37, who enjoyed a brief loan spell at Leeds in 2009, is named goalkeeping coach.

Liverpool's bid to sign Piotr Zielinski has been given a boost with his agent dismissing claims the player will go to Napoli.

Jurgen Klopp has made a £9.5m offer for the Udinese midfielder but Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis recently said his side already have an agreement to sign Zielinski.

Riyad Mahrez has been offered a new contract worth £100,000 a week as Leicester City fight to keep the PFA Player of the Year, according to the Telegraph.

The winger played a huge part in Leicester's Premier League title success, scoring 17 goals, and the club's Thai owners have moved swiftly in a bid to avoid losing the Algeria international.

Cameron Jerome has agreed a new three-year contract with Norwich City, with an option for the club to extend it by a further year.

The 29-year-old signed from Stoke City in 2014 and scored 21 goals in his debut season at Carrow Road, helping Norwich win promotion to the Premier League.

Liverpool midfielder Joao Carlos Teixeira has rejected a contract to stay at Anfield to join FC Porto.

The 23-year-old will return to his homeland on a free transfer after four years at Anfield, and has signed a deal until 2020 with the Portuguese giants.

“I am from the north and to wear blue and white has always been a dream for me,” Teixeira said.

BARCA TO SIGN UMTITI

Barcelona have won the race to sign in-demand Lyon defender Samuel Umtiti, who has also recently been attracting the attention of West Ham, according to reports in Le Dauphine.

The Frenchman, 22, has agreed to move to the Nou Camp next season and the La Liga champions must now agree a price with their Ligue 1 counterparts for the player.

However, it is understood Lyon will demand a fee of about €30m for Umtiti, who is contracted to the club until the summer of 2019.

Walsall have signed Bermudan teenager Kacy Milan Butterfield on a one-year deal subject to international clearance.

The 18-year-old midfielder, known by his middle name Milan, was recommended to the club by former Walsall striker and fellow countryman Kyle Lightbourne.

Brighton and Hove Albion have signed Ben Hall from Scottish Premiership side Motherwell for an undisclosed fee.

The 19-year-old centre-back has signed a two-year deal with the Sky Bet Championship club and will initially join Simon Rusk's U21 squad.

IBRA SET FOR UNITED MEDICAL

Man Utd are making plans for Zlatan Ibrahimovic to undertake a medical in Manchester after Euro 2016 – the last remaining hurdle which must be overcome before he signs a one-year contract at Old Trafford, according to Sky sources.

Negotiations between the player’s representative and the club took longer than initially expected, meaning there was not enough time for Ibrahimovic to conduct his medical before the tournament began.
