England fans cheer Welsh goals

Mon Jun 13, 2016 12:03 am

Just spoke to a mate of mine who went to see England in Marseille. What made me laugh is he said he was in the fan zone near the stadium, he said each time Wales scored the English cheered, but the biggest cheers was at the end when we had won. He said the Russians were bonkers, hunting in packs to attack any fans drinking outside bars. He said to be careful in Toulouse as they mob up quietly and then come from know where. He said it's not just English they dislike, it's all British football fans :bluebird:

The English don't really mind the Welsh from my experience. The English have a lot of respect for Cardiff fans from the many conversations in pubs over the years. I want all the home nations to win their games. The sweatys must be gutted that they are the only home nation to fail to qualify.

I'm loving the Euros. It's great rooting for the underdogs like Albania, Norther Ireland and Chzech republic. Even the smaller teams seem to play some great football at times and the Chezch ( I can't spell) defence were simply brilliant against Spain.

I am not surprised England fans were cheering on Wales. Not all football fans buy into the hatred which is often described as rivalry. For every punch up between opposing fans there will be hundreds of beers bought and banter galore.
