I remember that match they had a world cup squad a good team the likes of Trevor brookin Paul Marnier etc.
What a day it was 4-1.
Just beating them at a tournament on the big stage would equal or even better that moment some 36 years ago.
I was 7 when that game was played I've never forgotten it to this day it's special beating them every Welsh man wants to beat England and a truly believe we can do it in 2016 . We got the Leicester city feel about us I can't wait.

I think there are hoardes of Welsh sports fans who put too much into the hatred of all things English

We give the impression of inferiority with the excessive statements of wanting to get one over them.

They don't give a shit about us and we should be the same. Instead of feeling undermined by those over the bridge why not meet them face to face as equals and not seek single one upmanships that happened many moons ago.

Turn the other cheek with their fans and play on the pressures put upon their team by the press and we can come out of the game with a 100% tournament record and the praise of all of mainland Europe for our team and fans.

I remember it because I was there Not that I now remember much of the day but there's nothing wrong with a bit of banter about the old enemy,besides,they deserve it because we've had to put up with their patronising press forever.

well said , I live with the English ,I don't hate them ,even though most think of wales as irrelevant . I hold my own with comments along the same lines. (Your only being like that coz your English)...that normally gets a reaction

One of the wildest days out ever, 50 of us went into the side enclosure, a mass chant by a load of Man U of 'we only hate Cardiff City' broke out, a few scuffles and the OB escorted us into the home end behind the goals. We went straight up the back and chased Wrexham out, about half hour later England did the same to us, I got hit over the head with a flagpole, happy days!!!
