The Trouble At Bath....

Fri Jul 09, 2010 8:02 am

Is it just me (probably) ? or does anyone else feel a bit cringeworthy about the trouble at Bath yesterday?
Firstly, it was a pre-season 'friendly' against a team I have only heard about a handful of times. AND it was hardly a Millwall/West Ham/Swansea type game where we expect a good old rumble in the back alleys!

Amusing stories have filtered through the good old airwaves of Facebook but come on....I can recommend a good old Boxing Club in Roath if you want to prepare for the season when we take on some decent 'clubs'.....

Anyway, that's my thought for the morning. As you were......

I think the Bath supporters were shocked how many of us turned up. I bet they have never experienced that before.

Us Cardiff fans stood in their "Grange End" behind one of the goals while the loud Bath supporters stood on the corner of the Bob Bank next to us. Only a gate separated us. Fair play to them though they had quite an impressive flag on display. It was about 4 times larger than the Malaysian flag we are all use to now and the design was your typical St. George cross with a few mottos on it. They had it hanging from the roof and I've got to say again it was impressive. However this did cite one of our guys to produce a German flag which resulted in songs being sung about some 4-1 vixtory. that brought a smile to my face.

The police soon after escorted those Bath fans to the opposite stand behind the other goal. The huge flag reappeared there. Same really because I felt it killed the atmosphere a bit. That was until the gorl with the big boobs appeared to our right and above where there was some house garden that overlooked the ground.

Yeah.....she moved to the town centre after the match, I saw her by that Chineese takeaway. From close up her face looked like it had been run over by a combined harvester.

I saw no trouble, I've not mentioned that. In fact we mixed in well with the locals.

Only trouble being reported is coming from the supporters bus. Perhaps we should ban the supporters club......JOKE.

I didn't come accross any trouble all day, was a great trip.

Went to the bus stop after the game where we had to wait about 20 minutes for a bus, then went to a Wetherspoons by the station before getting the 22:30 train home. Speaking to a copper there though and he said a train around 9 o clock was full of City fans and they had to be escorted home by police.

As for the day as a whole, great day out, new ground for me. Can't wait for the start of the season now. :ayatollah:

I heard 200 Millwall turned up and it was toe-to-toe for most of the day and numerous mounted police charges, police with batons and full riot gear using snatch squad tactics to collar trouble makers. There'll be a few doing some pretty heavy bird for yesterday's antics and we'll be unwelcome at any grounds for friendlies in future

just the bit, Cardiff City won 2-0 would have been suffice.

load of bollux over nothing.
the only sign of tension i sawe was when milly stomed their blockbuster for a bar of choclate.

and that came from the girl with the ample chest and her massive, as they had moved down to the corner of the shops to hum along to the mosquito

oh yeh city won 2-0 :ayatollah:

"Teenager arrested amid storm in a tea bar at City game"

Says enough doesn't it?

New to football by anychance? not meaning to be condescending?

400 + city fans 1 arrested, and for what? Probably pissing on a wall

Big trouble there, as said above somerset and wiltshire police drafted in an extra 400 officers to descend on twerton park to keep the town a safe haven for locals after violence flared between Cardiff city And Bath City fans during a friendly, police quickly moved in to clear the huge Cardiff mob off the terrace leading to the home supporters. Running battles were seen all over the City of Bath before, during and after the game.  Funny as
