The banks tightened up their lending criteria as a result of the banking crisis which included allegations of wreckless lending. They certainly have'nt contributed to any difficulties as far as house purchases are concerned. It has been well documented that there is a chronic shortage of houses in the UK. If you are lucky enough to find a property and can afford the mortgage repayments, the chances are your bank will agree a mortgage subject to the usual conditions (satisfactory credit rating, affordability etc.). It's the usual supply and demand thing, shortage of houses pushes up the price.

I agree with what you say but why will improve after 23rd?? Borris last night said there's no solution to it. So he can't change it. And this very thread is about leave getting votes by promising more migration for family and friends. So how does this work??
I'm confused. I believe if leave win on 23rd migration will get worse. We still have freedom of movement from the eu countries plus the green light for half of Asia and the commonwealth to come over.
