Cardiff in talks for Ousseynou Cissé


Rayo Vallecano and Malian international midfielder Ousseynou Cissé is currently in talks to join Championship side Cardiff, according to L’Équipe.

The former Dijon man has spent the last 6 months on loan at Waasland-Beveren in the Belgian first division.

25-year old Cissé is a Malian footballer who plays for Belgian club Waasland-Beveren, on loan from Rayo Vallecano. Mainly a defensive midfielder, he can also play as a central defender.

Born in France to a Malian father and a Senegalese mother, Cissé was called up by Mali manager Alain Giresse for a friendly against Libya and a 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualification match against South Sudan. He made his international debut on 6 June 2015, in a 2–2 draw against the former.

Despite rumours in France, sources at Cardiff City insist they are not in talks to sign Rayo Vallecano midfielder, Ousseynou Cissé.The French sports paper, L’Equipe, has reported the Bluebirds are after the 25-year-old Mali international, but WalesOnline understands this is not the case.

Cissé, who was born in France, began his career at Amiens before moving to Dijon and then onto La Liga outfit Rayo Vallecano last summer. He spent the latter half of last season out on loan at Belgian side Waasland-Beveren.

The Bluebirds are looking at the chnace of adding a midfielder to their squad this summer ahead of the new Championship season, but insist Cisse is not a target.

After Tuckers shocking mis quotes of Ken Choo at the Supporters Club awards, I can't see Tucker getting any info from the club whatsoever. I'd take what he says with a pinch of salt.
