" ARSENAL TO PAY £1.5 MILL PLUS FOR DIV 1 PLAYER "

It has emerged from an exclusive report by Football Insider that Arsenal are close to the signing of Bolton Wanderer’s starlet, Rob Holding.

It became well known that Arsenal were interested in signing the centre-half, and that interest materialised in an opening bid of £750,000 which Bolton Wanderers rejected.

However, reports from Football Insider now suggest that Arsenal has had a bid accepted of £1.5 million plus add-ons for Bolton’s player of the year.

There have already been early comparisons between Rob Holding and John Stones because of Holding’s footballing ability which is uncharacteristic of a centre-half.

Holding’s ability with the ball at his feet and his style of play to step out of defence will be a good fit for Arsenal’s style as a potential future first team regular.

Arsenal did face competition from Tottenham Hotspur, Everton and Bournemouth but the England Under 21 international was keen on a move to Arsenal if he was to leave Bolton Wanderers.
