" TONY WATT LATEST "

Wed Jun 08, 2016 10:48 am

New Charlton boss Russell Slade has given no assurances over the future of Tony Watt - even though he signed the striker while Cardiff boss.

Wednesday 8th June 2016

Watt joined the Welsh club on loan last season and a permanent move only collapsed when City were placed under a transfer embargo in January due to breaching Financial Fair Play rules.

The former Celtic hotshot then spent the second half of the campaign at Blackburn only for a groin injury - which required surgery - to prematurely end his campaign.

Watt is still a big fans’ favourite at Charlton and could be a formidable weapon in League One if Slade can once again harness his abilities.

The Addicks manager said: “He came to Cardiff and did particularly well for me. I believe he had an injury but he’s likely to be back in maybe three of four weeks.

“He’s a Charlton player - so as it stands he’ll be back for pre-season training.”

I agree and I think RS is just saying "Get back here pre-season and prove your worth to Charlton Athletic!"

Whos to say it was slade who brought him here to start with I mean lets be honest loads of players have been landed on managers aka ( TANS PUPPETS ) doorsteps at the club for the last few years with this " we sign the players " system we got in place. It wasn't so long ago slade was talking about the watt deal being hours away in a media interview yet two hours later it come to light the club come under a Transfer embargo and we couldnt sign him so it went to show how badly the club was run. If people can not figure that out in there heads there thick as shit, embarrass the manager in the media hours later go back in what the manger said as we are under an embargo :laughing5:
