" TONIGHT THE GOOD SIDE OF FOOTBALL/AND FUNNY "

Sun Jun 05, 2016 6:11 pm

Over the years, this event has raised over £15m :ayatollah:

Soccer Aid 2016

Tonight on ITV, kick off at 8pm :ayatollah:

Always like this for a bit of light-hearted watching of football. And all for a great cause.

If you're unfamiliar with the match

- Two teams, England and Rest of the World

- Proceeds from the match go to UNICEF

- Each team features a mix of ex-players/current players and celebrities. In the last Zinedine Zidane and Boris Johnson have taken part

Can sometimes have some funny moments, and is normally entertaining - even if most of the quality of football isn't brilliant.

0-0 at half time but some of the "celebrities" aren't as bad as you'd think

England win 3-2.

Mark Wright and two from Jermaine Defoe win it for England, and the Rest of the World goals were both scored by Dimitar Berbatov.

Ben Shephard became the first person to ever be sent off in a Soccer Aid match.

Entertaining and for a great cause :ayatollah:
