Lots to consider, but cheap(er) cars than main dealerships, so I guess it's down to budget and model choice (i.e. do you prefer to buy a 5 year old high mileage BMW/Mercedes or a lower mileage Modeo/Focus/Insignia, etc.)

It's a personal choice, but remember on-going servicing of high mileage vehicles can be an issue; although also worth remembering 'company' cars are usually exceptionally well maintained

As my old man used to say: "Doesn't matter what car you're driving, if the car behind you is a Mini or a Rolls Royce, it's still behind you and not getting anywhere quicker than you!" LOL

Also worth noting the prices advertised are not the price's when you get there. Yes 1 or 2 but 99% of it is oh sorry that 1 has gone. Personally when I went there most of cars were def high mileage lots of marks and dents. 2000 on windscreen will be knocked off for finance. Don't like part ex cash is ok probably 1000 off marked up price. But for me it was a no thanks.

My last 2 cars have been from there due to my fanatical backround from my younger days I had no choice,

Not any any problems with the cars other than the usual tyres, ball joints and track rod ends, first car was a 55 plate Meriva back in 2011 than 2015 I had a 09 plate corsa,

Like I said no problems at all,

One thing tho don't licen to the reps trying who try sell you cars that have been there for some time,

Average payment tho is also around 150 -180 pm not £20 pw like they advertise

Bought the missis a Renault scenic from there a month ago 11 plate 50k on clock, one owner, all past history, paid 5k cash. Was up for 6200, cash is king so tell them this otherwise they will try pull your pants down and haggle you to death. Not had any problems as of yet but took the two years RAC gold cover also for £699 quid that way if anything goes wrong your covered bar wear and tear like tyres, brakes ect which is expected. Piece of mind I suppose and my sex life has improved since :bluescarf:

motorpoint in Newport is really good. Again many ex fleet cars, all within 3 yr old. They let you wander without being followed

Massive backers of both Swansea City and Merthyr Town FC, Mark Bailey the owner is a big Swanns fan from Ebbw Vale originally but now lives on the Gower. A few decent cars, best sort your own finance out as going through their own finance CAN CAN Car finance can be expensive :bluebird:

One of the problems is that they work on a "quick shift" policy, so the cars are not particularly well tested by the dealer because they often buy from major companies in big numbers and simply don't have time!

Warranties from such companies are a MUST! ;)

I remember the rise and fall of Baker Ford from Merthyr where they worked on a similar principle of "buy bulk and sell quick with low mileage" (albeit with brand new cars) but they could never be sure how some of their cars had been driven/looked after by those who drove them and some were obviously better buys than others (even with the 'nearly new' discounts) ;)

They are not all high miles, if you go take your time, Sales guys are a pain, but I had my last car from there last year and it only had 47k was dirt cheap and goes like a dream. I have also had a crap car from there about 7 years ago. But, they have tried to improve their reputation. There is a new one opening in abet Union soon, if you wait for the opening (not sure when) you may pick up a bargain, tell them you want low miles and they will help. Do not go to the part exchange outlet in Merthyr as that is dire.
