Tracksuit manager or suited and booted?

Fri Jun 03, 2016 4:09 pm

Bit of a random question really.

Do you prefer to see a manager on the touchline in a tracksuit or in a suit? Or maybe you're not bothered? :laughing6:

I always think that a manger who is wearing a suit looks far more professional than one wearing a tracksuit. I don't know why they wear a tracksuit - it's not like they're going to get on the pitch is it?

Most track suited managers look plain scruffy and if they wear a baseball cap as well like Pulis or Slade it makes them look like an old uncle who's trying to look trendy. :o

So a nice smart suit always looks better to me - unless it's worn by Steve Evans of course.

I don't give a shit as long as the team performs.

That puts you firmly in the "not bothered" category then.

Who was the last great tracksuit manager?

Don't say Slade Rydog!

Was it Clough? Can't think of many but perhaps someone can help me out?

Mourinho seems to alternate between suit and training wear...

I'm a not bothered as long as they're showing passion & organisation on the touch line . Some one who sits on the bench is a waste of time to me. :old:

I think Mourinho dresses for the occasion. At Old trafford with Porto he wore an Hugo Boss suit, so at Anfield he wore.........

This is something of a one off,me agreeing with you, saying that I think Trollope looks like a tramp prowling the technical area
