Need for a "General football chat" sub-forum

Just giving my opinion on how this forum could be improved, I believe there should be another forum primarily for football news outside of Cardiff City interests. The forum is currently full of a general football news which is great but if these were ordered into their own sub-forum, viewing would become easier and more efficient. There should be a dedicated Cardiff City forum for all things bluebirds and then a general football chat for news concerning other stories in the world of football/sport.

That make this board Un appealing as take look now very few city stories as it's off season! Need general football and other news to at least make it semi interesting,?

Yeah 99% off threads start with a title Newport sign. ?. Or cardiff legend etc etc it's only the odd few where Annis or 1 of them gives you a cliff hanger. Which is fine it adds to the character of the board and it creates hits which is needed to keep the board going.

Theres hardly been anything to say about Cardiff City? ?
Most staff,players etc are on their holidays.

You could help by creating some news or stuff on Cardiff City ? ? ?

Plus this forum does Welcome everything about football

Completely disagree. You'll see that the vast majority of people on this forum will at least view, if not post on, a large variety of topics. You'll see this if you look at the amount of replies and views on the Garry Monk and Ryan Giggs topics.

Not just restricted to football either. There has been over 300 posts on the EU Referendum topic and it's about to go over 6,000 views.

Just giving an opinion, thats what forums are for isnt it? Ive seen it work well before on other fans forums, thought id give an idea.

I do post things concerning Cardiff City.

I never said anything about the forum not welcoming everything about football, i only suggested another section may be useful.

I dont care how many season tickets Bradford or Huddersfield have sold or whether Newport Country have signed a nobody. A sub-section for those who do may be more efficient and make for a more organised forum.

Im not sayinh that theres no interest in other football news, there could be a sub-section where it could all be seperated from Cardiff City News. Same goes for news not concerning football/sport

It would be better to keep all the football in here, CCFC and General, but have another sub-section for other stuff, like politics, other sports, etc. I know that we don't have to look at them, but from time to time, there are posts on here about the egg. There is actually a post on now about a jock tennis player. Either this is a football forum, or it's not.

I can see your point OP, but the truth is I don't even look at the other sections of this forum, just because I forget they are there. All under one roof I say.

If I post something totally irrelevant on here, I'm soon told by others. It kind of polices itself. And where there's a need for intervention, mods can take steps to remove stuff.

In the off-season especially, there's too little Cardiff City news most days (thank god, it means nobody's left and there's no scandal lo lol).

Leave it as it is imho. I respect your opinion though.

See your point but what if there is no new things on city like at moment its off season? Are people going to look at non football stuff in another section doubt it and that would make this board unviable to run. Hits mean money which in turn keeps board running

My only gripe is clicking a thread saying for example something like " He's signed " and its about mk dons or someone i have no interest in.
I did post about it a week or so ago after clicking a few only for none of them to be about cardiff city..
Saying that i think its gone better the last week with most threads being clearer
