Would you off liked Ryan Giggs to have become Cardiff City's manager? ?

RYAN GIGGS OFFICIALLY LEAVES MANCHESTER UNITED

Ryan Giggs will leave Man Utd this summer due to his strong desire to become a manager of another English club, SSN HQ has been told.

Friday 3rd June 2016

Jose Mourinho was last week reported to be prepared to offer Giggs a place on his coaching staff - although not as assistant manager, with Mourinho's loyal and trusted assistant Rui Faria set to take up that role.

But Sky sources have indicated Giggs is set to end his 29-year association with the club as he does not want to accept a reduced role at Old Trafford, instead preferring to explore opportunities in management.

Sources have also claimed Giggs is so frustrated at having been overlooked for the job in favour of Mourinho, he would rather leave than remain at the club in a lesser role.

SSN HQ also understands reports that Giggs has been offered a role as a bridge between the first team and the U21s are inaccurate.

Don't rate him at all, both as a person or possible manager. Lots to prove and IMO won't be a great manager will fade into obscurity :bluescarf:

Annis, he is a lying, cheat who will stop at nothing to get what he wants ( and keep his name out of the press). He will never command respect from players, if he was that great should have taken over Salford FC.

Nah he wouldn't do that he wants PL club to fit his ego well he's in for a reality check.

Makes me sick to hear him say he is a proud Welshman :digging2:

I think if we hadn't been through the "Ole" experience then perhaps it would have been something to consider but none of the great "stars" of the United team have gone on to be a great success as a manager and none of them have been deemed good enough to be able to manage a club the size of United.

Having said that, a number of them have proven good enough to get teams promoted form the Championship and that is the level that we are at.

Tan may have considered appointing Giggs when he was still at the "starstruck" stage ( wanting Shearer, appointing Ole etc) but I think that with the current ethos at the club and Tan's aim to concentrate solely on financial matters rather than showing any ambition to actually go for promotion, he would not even have considered Giggs even if he had been available when we were supposedly "interviewing" for Slade's replacement.

He'd be better off getting another coaches job at a club with one of his old Man U mates. Sparky or Bruce for example.

He's hardly got a gleaming character. The fact he slept with his brothers wife just proves he's a dishonest scumbag with no morals. Not for me.

I'm not going into his personal life here just football,as a player he achieved almost everything but did let Wales on a number of occasions. But as part of the coaching staff has not really set the world on fire and doesn't merit a top Football job.If someone takes a risk on him it's 50/50 chance he will succeed.Could be another Ole or could be another Eddie Howe! Its a no for me.Maybe Coleman will drag him after th the Euros.

Giggs at City?? Not for me! :(

He's a Salford boy at heart and only a pretend Cardiffian in my eyes (i.e. when it suited him) and he's currently smarting from not getting the Man Utd job ahead of Jose Mourinho

That shows he has some ego, but I think he'd do better stay where he is and a look to the future, as (let's be honest) there is only ONE club and ONE person in Giggs' world! ;)

With all the media and ex-players love in for him, it would be great to see him at Cardiff or Wales.
But I agree with comments above and think both should stay well away from him.

If in 5 years he has proved himself (not sure he will) then perhaps he could be looked at. But I am not sure he has shown too much respect for Cardiff or Wales in the past. Maybe it was Ferguson's fault, maybe he has grown up in Manchester and has their arrogant attitude, who knows, but sorry for now, it has to be no thanks.
