It was a far bigger occasion for Wednesday fans as they haven't been to prem for about 16 years. Hull fans are no stranger to being there and know its f**k all special.

Reports were saying the many Hull fans used the event as a sort of protest against their owners. If true, that's pretty poor IMHO for such a big occasion; but then again, Hull will be back there again in two years when their perpetual Yo-Yo between the top flight and the Championship continues!

Other reports also said that Hull didn't help the situation when the Football League asked them to sell their tickets in 'Block' rotation, so that all fans were (a) together, and (b) any surplus tickets could be sold to Sheffield Wednesday supporters (who sold out of their allocation in 4 hours and could have sold a lot more) :(

Poor from Hull fans and poor from the club itself; maybe they deserve each other?? ;)

Looks like hull couldn't be arsed and who can blame them? How many times have they been there in the last few years?
And how many fir the owls? If we had made the final I wouldn't have gone either. Wembley is a total dump and a shocking day out less you win.

cmon Annis you been watching city long enough, we have always had a hardcore number of fans whatever numbers people want to put on it. But as for floating fans ( sorry hate the word plastic ) or glory fans whatever you want to call them, we have huge numbers and always have done. You would have struggled for a ticket, for some reason it's not something that the so called die hards are comfortable with but its true - a high flying City will attract massive numbers. Shocking by Hull but some clubs are bigger than others, not sure why such a big issue. They won the match, Shef weds can sing that all summer but they missed the chance. :bluescarf: :ayatollah: :bluebird:

Though Sheffield Wed had 40,000 fans at Wembley their average attendance this season was 22,600 therefore making 17,400 (43.5%) of their Wembley crowd, 'plastic.'

Hull, on the other hand, had an average attendance this season of 17,200. With a Wembley attendance of 26,000 some 8,800 (33.8%) would be, 'plastic.'

In short Wednesday had more plastics at Wembley than Hull.

Again, with the two clubs providing 66,000 fans for the Wembley showpiece and their combined average attendances for the '15-'16 season being 39,800, we see that of those who attended the game some 22,200 could be termed, 'plastics.' The means 33.6% of the two teams' fans were, 'plastic.'
