Milan's Metro was evacuated after a bomb scare - just hours before the city hosts the Champions League final.

A suspicious package was found at Cadorna train station forcing people out of the subway.

Bomb squads rushed to the scene and the Metro service was suspended on two lines.

Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the M1 line was stopped between Cairoli and Pagano and the M2 line was stopped between Garibaldi and Porta Genova.

Cadorna is one of Italy's busiest railway stations.

Police determined the package was not a threat and normal service has now resumed.

Real Madrid take on Atletico Madrid at the San Siro stadium in Milan at 7.45pm this evening, UK time.

More than 81,000 fans will be flocking to the glamour tie.

Sadly there'll be plenty of these at the Euros.
