CANTONA: WRONG MAN!

25/05/16

Eric Cantona believes Manchester United are getting the wrong manager.

Jose Mourinho is expected to be confirmed as successor to Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford in the next two days, but Cantona, so synonymous with United's success under Sir Alex Ferguson, thinks Pep Guardiola's attacking brand of football is more suited to the United tradition.

He told The Guardian: "I love [Mourinho's] personality, I love the passion he has for the game, his humour.

"But I don't think it's the type of football that the fans of Manchester United will love, even if they win. Guardiola was the one to take. He is the spiritual son of Johan Cruyff."

I agree with this.Even Fergie at his best never thought he was bigger than the club but this guy?He has always been a me,me,me type of person never playing second fiddle in any situation and unless I missed it never took any responsibility for what happened at Chelsea.

Eric Cantona is not stupid, he got what Man Utd was about so yeah, Utd fans should take his concerns to heart

You're making Mourinho sound like Vincent Tan, ha ha

I think Mourinho's style of football will not suit their fans, apart from the falling over to get free kicks/penalties (Rooney, Young, Janezji??)
I can see him quickly falling out with the likes of Bobby Charlton, although he does seem to like Ferguson.
