Centre backs - a real concern

This has traditionally been one of our strengths. With other areas of the team need developing, particularly 2 NOT 1 striker needed ( we will get injuries!!), we do not need to mess about with wasting money on centre backs. Manga will go. Turner has gone - plain daft - leaving just Connolly and Morrison with a couple of rookies ( maybe one as cover). The latter has had an operation, will not be ready for the start of the season and will miss out on a whole pre-season and we know what that can mean. Indeed, what happens if the recovery doss not go as planned? Even then Connolly could get injured or sent off leading to a ban. Therefore , why not offer Turner a 1 year contract on reduced wages. Surely this must make sense. My concern is buying a centre back when we had an adequate replacement when money could be spent elsewhere. Sorry to sound negative but I welcome opinions

Bit early to forcast what's happening as don't know what trollope has planned regarding players in/out,? He could have identified defence as needing strengthening.

You're wrong here mate. The decision on Turner had already been made before Trollope was promoted. Silly cost cutting exercise. Trollope will have little input into player recruitment. He will coach the first team squad he's given. Over time this will become weaker and weaker. Retaining Manga and Turner and signing 2 quality forwards we could have easily played 352 with our personnel and done well.

Thing you are wrong to say trollope won't have input into he signs? what you basically saying is tan will pick players who club want to sign /keep and trollope as to get on with it!!
