Gillingham boss, Justin Edinburgh, is reportedly keen to make Cardiff City defender Deji Oshilaja’s move to the Kent-club permanent this summer.
The 23-year-old centre-half had two loan spells with the Gills last season seeing his first cut short by injury and then a second spell at the end of the campaign helping Edinburgh’s side to a ninth-place finish.
Oshilaja is out of contract in the Welsh capital this summer and is yet to ink a new deal meaning he could be available on a free transfer.
Edinburgh, former boss at Newport County, told BBC Kent he would like to bring Oshilaja back.
Having risen through the club’s Academy ranks, Oshilaja has never quite managed to make the breakthrough when it has come to the Bluebirds’ senior side.
He has had just two starts in the League Cup and one in the FA Cup for Cardiff and previously had loan spells at Newport, Sheffield Wednesday and Wimbledon.

You would have thought that at the age of 23, if he was going to be a quality City player, he would have at least broke into the first team by now or played a few games for us in the league...
I seen him for our development squad a couple of times. Solid centre half but he wouldn't be missed...

Some people hit form later, 23 he is hardly old and is supposed to have had a good season last year. I wouldn't think on a small wage, ideal for back up in my opinion.

Heard nothing but good things about the lad and now is the time to bring him into the first team fold. Cash in on Managa and bring Ohsilaja in as fourth choice centre back alongside Turner with Morrison and Connelly first choice

Actually just seen Turner has been released but would still bring him and Ajay into the first team squad. If we are going to go for youth may as well start now.

Spot on! Ilthis guys been very good out on loan at each club he's gone too! He's strong, big and very good with his feet! More than ready to back up the first team!

Keep, with Turner now left and Manga probably going we need another 1st choice centre half then someone like Oshilaja as 4th choice

Only seen the guy a few times in the DVP team but every time he looked a strong, quick defender who can play a bit
