The Bluebirds have confirmed a date and a kick off time with ticket information to made available at a later date.
Cardiff City have announced their first pre-season friendly of the summer with the Bluebirds set to travel to face League Two Exeter.
What is described as a ‘strong’ Cardiff side will turn out at St James Park on Thursday, July 28 with kick-off at 7.30pm.
It is the first match announced since the appointment of Paul Trollope as Head Coach and should prove a big part of the new man’s preparations for the new Championship season which kicks off on August 6.
The Grecians are managed by Paul Tisdale the second-longest serving manger in the Football League after Arsenal’s Arsene Wenger.
Tisdale led the Devon-club to a mid-table finish in League Two last campaign.
Information about tickets for the game and additional pre-season fixtures are set to be announced in due course the club’s official site stated.
