Are they gonna be a force next season?

This chinese guy said he is gonna spend 30-40 million on new players, added to that i can see them getting a good manager in. Would be nice if vinny spent at least 10million on players but cant see it happening.

Hopefully villa invest and stutter like derby.

Opinions?

Their fans will expect an immediate return and so they should.
I expect them to be top 2.

I don't think they'll fail. With that kind of budget they'll probably attract interest from some top managers too.

I thought Di Matteo was going there, or they want him atleast.

Didn't the forest owns make some kind of statement along those lines.

Spend that much and don't go up and they truly are fucked. They shouldn't mess with their core too much as most teams that have done the yoyo haven't. That's the most important thing imo.

Hopefully they just buy a load of pre madonna starts who dont want to dig in and work hard in this tough league and they have no team spirit and they just f**k things up!

Newcastle and villa will be a a force next season, a tough division next season..

Re: Aston Villa

all about the recruitment, if they start buying x3 x4 battle hardened, known-to-be strong willed professionals it will be time to think they will do well

Newcastle will be as they got no relegation clauses in contracts so doubt if many players will be sold! Villa not so sure but with some good buys can be a force. :old:

Not going to bother us.

Our club only ever aims to get in the play-offs.

Show no ambition to get automatic promotion.

Newcastle walked it last time, and think they will be up there again for next season. No doubt they will bring max capacity down to Cardiff too. Villa I really don't know what to expect from them .

Too true...unless you're near the bottom, desperate for points and playing a Slade-led Cardiff City looking to secure a Top 6 finish! ;) :laughing6: :laughing6:

If they get the right manager in and invest on the right type of players yes. However I think out of all team so coming down they will struggle most. I think toon and Norwich will be top 2.

Whilst we are at it I predict 10th for city

I was wrong, quite surprised

QPR,
mighty bluebirds,
QPR
Wolves
West Ham
Portsmouth
WBA
Derby
Watford
Sunderland
Southampton
Wolves
Sunderland
Leicester City
Bradford

Only Pompey and Bradford have crash and burned. Quite encouraging for us. Only Derby haven't returned (we will next season :ayatollah: :ayatollah: )
