' Paul Trollope he can decide his own '

Thu May 19, 2016 1:55 pm

Cardiff chairman Mehmet Dalman is understood to have made it clear to Trollope that he can decide his own Wales fate.

Trollope will continue his Wales duties into the next World Cup qualifiers, even though it would mean him being absent from the Bluebirds at significant moments of the 2016-17 season.

If Trollope believes doubling up with the two jobs is too much, he can chose to stand aside as Coleman’s part-time coach. If he wishes to carry on, he will be given permission to be with Wales as they do battle with Austria, Serbia, the Republic of Ireland, Moldova and Georgia in the race to reach Russia 2018.

Either way, Trollope definitely goes to France this summer as Bale and co seek to upset England, Russia and Slovakia and make their mark in the Euros.

His priority through June will be 100 per cent with Wales and the focus turns back to Cardiff when the Bluebirds players return for pre-season training at the beginning of July.

However, Trollope has also been told that if there are potential Cardiff targets who catch his eye at the Euros, then he needs to flag them up to the Bluebirds board.

I suppose it depends on how good his No2 will be if he is away with Wales for World Cup Qualifiers, missing a few days might not be a problem but I would prefer it if he was solely concentrating on City.

Why do people think Bellamy will be good for cardiff City? No experience and known for being disruptive and throwing his toys out of his pram. No thanks
