For Trollope?

One can assume the 'continuity' word stems from the club wanting to promote from within at every opportunity.

That gives a lot of coaches the chance to become boss if things don't work out for the No1. I am wondering if Trollope has a 'free reign' as Dalman claims to pick his own back room staff, as surely part of the continuity is the Club picking the No2 as the contingency plan if Trollope makes an exit.

It doesn't make sense Trollope picking all his own staff if one of the criteria of being manager is having a good relationship with Tan. It's my opinion that Scott Young was being groomed for the manager's job by Tan, but, as we know, Tan had to concede his choice was not cut out for management after the caretaker stint. Trollope has impressed Tan during his time here and therefore, was considered to be the most capable of taking the club forward.

I guess that scenario could happen again, one of Trollope's coaches impressing to be groomed as the next 'contingency plan' However, it would also make sense that James Rowberry is being groomed for the top job in the not to distant future.

Rowberry has been offered the Assistant Manager job, I still am unsure as to whether that is Trollope's or Tan's choice.

You are possibly right on the money but if I didn't wan't Scott Young I would have negotiated that and all other prerequisites at the interview stage.I don't suppose he had it all his own way hence the delay while he made up his mind.

very true, negotiations defo centred around his back room staff. It would of pained Tan to demote Young. By all accounts they have a very good relationship.
