i KNOW WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING...that they are with city through thick and thin...and those who only go when times are good are not true fans...but we have to be realistic how many die hard fans are there who go in bad times. 10-12 thousand at the most ..its not those the club are trying to get back it is the fairweather fans...and in my opinion they are not doing enough to get them back...particularly with selection of managers...Tan will reap what he sows and i am afraid he has this perverted idea that he knows about football..and he surrounds himself with yes men... i fear times will get worse before they get better..until either Tan has a rethink which i very much doubt or the club changes ownership...which in present time i don t see happening

Your mostly right, but I think our diehard support is about 8,000 if we were struggling

I think 8,000 is about right. A couple of relegations and that would drop considerably. From what I remember, we were lucky to get 5,000 the last time we really struggled in the bottom division.

I think you're right, Annis...and that's still
twice as many as we had before Sam came in!
When 'knocking' Sam for his much publicised errors, we also need to remember he was also the catalyst for all the positives that saw this club go forward at a great rate of knots, too!

Sven,I don't recall seeing many,if any, knocking of Hamman on the grounds of any errors concerning the football or choice of personnel. It was and remains the financial slight of hand that leaves a bad taste in the mouth of many, myself included. And like many middle-eastern types taking the spoken word at face value is always a mistake.

See to me thats like saying he nursed all our cuts and bruises but left us with a gunshot wound.

I consider myself a fan although not ' die hard ' . I first went to Ninian in 1967 as a kid and attended 80% of home games for years after . I have had a season ticket for twenty years but this year was the first I missed due to work being reduced by 50% so I couldn't afford it sadly. I miss it and hope work improves for next year. I'm one of the ones missing for a reason, not because of managers, style of football or Tan which a lot of people seem to blame for low attendances.

I meant his off-field errors!

As much as I agree the club needs to get fair weather fans back. How about something for the "8000 die hards " we haven't really been rewarded at all this season. A few free tickets, which doesn't really benefit us. ...how about food and drink vouchers or money off in shop . Or even money off away tickets

There was talk of a "Loyalty Scheme" for long-serving supporters but not sure how that is developing
We could argue that the 'free' end of season tickets were a reward, too. After all, it was then up to fans who they gave them away to
