Cardiff City central defender Bruno Ecuele Manga is attracting interest from Premier League trio Crystal Palace, West Ham United and Swansea City.

Crystal Palace have been monitoring Manga this season and have heard the player has not settled this season, reports from within Palace say the Croydon club are preparing a one million bid knowing that the defender has only one year left on his contract.

French Ligue 1 side Rennes are also monitoring the situation of the Gabon international as per le10sport.com. The 27-year-old will enter the final year of his contract managerless Cardiff City, and bigger clubs are now hoping to sign him for a much-reduced price.

The experienced Gabon international will have a difficult choice to make in the summer with so many clubs interested in his services. West Ham United obviously looks like a much better option as they are increasingly growing in stature compare to Crystal Palace and Swansea City but a move to Selhurst Park would be the best move for the player.

It would be foolish from the Gabon international if he thinks that he could be the first choice at the Olympic Stadium ahead of Winston Reid and Angelo Ogbonna. James Collins is not getting any younger but the Welshman still has what it takes to challenge Manga for the backup role.

Crystal Palace would be a much better option from Manga where he will get regular first team football. For the most of the season, Scott Dann and Damien Delaney have been the duo in central defence for the Eagles but Delaney is set to leave in the summer following his contract expiry. Brede Hangeland and Adrian Mariappa are also leaving the Eagles in the summer with their contracts set to expire in June. Crystal Palace will be left with just one senior centre-back in the squad, unless the offer the trio extensions.

Manga has been impressive at the heart of the defence for Cardiff City this season whenever he called upon. According to Whoscored, the 27-year-old has averaged a rating of 7.46 from his 19 starts in the Championship this season. Manga has decent experience in Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 with Lorient and Angers and has done well so far at Cardiff since his move from France.

Manga is capped 47 times for the Gabon international team and he found the back of the net 5 times. The defender is brilliant in the air and he will thrive in the Premier League with his ability to not beaten aerially. Tackling and intercepting are another strongest aspects of the 27-year-old's game and he can form a very good partnership with Dann at the back.

The Gabon international should face no problem in deciding what is the right move for him, which is Crystal Palace. He can ideally heal the defensive woes at Selhurst Park which hurt the South London club badly since the turn of the new year.

Arguably the best defender in the Championship. He's worth at least £4 million.

Think it's safe to say he's going this season but need to get a decent amount for him!

3 million at the least or he may as well go on a free end of the season. I would be happy to sell for 3 million and renew turners contract on a low wage.

Connolly, Morrison, Turner with Oshijala as 4th choice.

The money made needs to be invested into a striker if we are going to do anything next season.

Seems about right, he's not lit up the Championship, final year of contract and he'll be away for a bit in Januray next year too.

Taking the piss might as well keep him and he could sign a new contract

Into his final year and as you pointed out is away with Gabon. A million pounds is probably too little although talk of £5m+ is a bit fanciful.

If we let him go for 1 mill then we have gone back 10 years. Back to when we were div3 selling players like Earnie to survive. Which we don't need to do. 1 million is a piss take

I'd rather make him run his contract out. 1M is a piss take

Derisory offer by a club now swimming in money.

How about £1m plus Campbell, Ledley and Mutch.

And Jedinak.

And Gayle.

Id keep him.

Use him for this season, never know how we are going to do! He may sign a new deal with us then! £1mil is pointless letting go! We need to keep him! Get that spine of the team right!

Marshall-manga - new central mid player - new no.9

1m is a joke, has to be 3-4. Say what you like about Tan & Co, but they're no mugs for money these days and won't be taken for a ride by low-ballers.

Crystal Palace move for Cardiff City defender Bruno Ecuele Manga, West Ham and Swansea also interested

By Louis Sealey, Sports reporter

Monday 16th May 2016

Crystal Palace, West Ham and Swansea are all interested in Cardiff City defender Bruno Ecuele Manga, according to reports.

The Gabon international has been an impressive figure in the Cardiff dressing room since signing from Lorient in September 2014.

The 27-year-old’s performances have attracted substantial interest from Premier League clubs and French outlet Le 10 Sport say Palace, West Ham and Swansea are weighing up summer moves.

The Bluebirds finished the season 8th in the Championship – missing out on the play-offs by six points.

Manga only has one year remaining on his contract at Cardiff and will undoubtedly be the subject of speculation this summer.

Manga’s former boss expresses interest – reports
May 16, 2016

Manga's former boss expresses interest -

Cardiff City defender Bruno Ecuele-Manga has become a player of interest for a number of clubs and his former manager has now expressed an interest in bringing him back to France this summer.

The Bluebirds’ star defender is subject to interest from a number of Premier League and European clubs and it seems Cardiff’s chances of keeping him in their ranks for next season are getting smaller by the day.

Manga’s former manager, Christian Gourcuff, is set to take over Stade Rennais this season and having worked with the Gabon international at FC Lorient, he is keen to bring him to his new club, according to French media outlet Foot-sur 7.

Gourcuff signed Manga for Lorient back in 2010 and was given wide-spread credit for bringing bright young players such as the now 27-year-old to the club.

It was announced last week that Gourcuff will return to club management with Stade Rennais after a two-year spell as Algeria manager. The experienced manager is looking to add to the Stade Rennais squad who finished eighth this season in League 1 and Manga is reportedly one of the players he wants.

Foot-sur report that Gourcuff has been working hard behind the scenes to prepare for next season and has already contacted Manga on an unofficial level to express his interest but no negotiations between the club have begun as of yet.

It’s understood it would take a fee of around £3 million to secure the centre-back’s services for next season and there’s plenty of competition with Swansea, West Ham and Sevilla all reportedly interested.

Although, one element which could give Rennais an advantage is that they can offer Manga a return to France where he has spent the majority of his career.

He'll go - not much disappointment for me TBH; he is good, but also makes a lot of errors.

Why do we always buy a player then improve him and sell him on for a massive loss ? That ain't good business is it ?
