Why This Defender Should Choose Crystal Palace As His Destination
Cardiff City central defender Bruno Ecuele Manga is attracting interest from Premier League trio Crystal Palace, West Ham United and Swansea City according to le10sport.com. French Ligue 1 side Rennes are also monitoring the situation of the Gabon international as per le10sport.com. The 27-year-old will enter the final year of his contract managerless Cardiff City, and bigger clubs are now hoping to sign him for a much-reduced price.
The experienced Gabon international will have a difficult choice to make in the summer with so many clubs interested in his services. West Ham United obviously looks like a much better option as they are increasingly growing in stature compare to Crystal Palace and Swansea City but a move to Selhurst Park would be the best move for the player.
It would be foolish from the Gabon international if he thinks that he could be the first choice at the Olympic Stadium ahead of Winston Reid and Angelo Ogbonna. James Collins is not getting any younger but the Welshman still has what it takes to challenge Manga for the backup role.
Crystal Palace would be a much better option from Manga where he will get regular first team football. For the most of the season, Scott Dann and Damien Delaney have been the duo in central defence for the Eagles but Delaney is set to leave in the summer following his contract expiry. Brede Hangeland and Adrian Mariappa are also leaving the Eagles in the summer with their contracts set to expire in June. Crystal Palace will be left with just one senior centre-back in the squad, unless the offer the trio extensions.
Manga has been impressive at the heart of the defence for Cardiff City this season whenever he called upon. According to Whoscored, the 27-year-old has averaged a rating of 7.46 from his 19 starts in the Championship this season. Manga has decent experience in Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 with Lorient and Angers and has done well so far at Cardiff since his move from France.
Manga is capped 47 times for the Gabon international team and he found the back of the net 5 times. The defender is brilliant in the air and he will thrive in the Premier League with his ability to not beaten aerially. Tackling and intercepting are another strongest aspects of the 27-year-old's game and he can form a very good partnership with Dann at the back.
The Gabon international should face no problem in deciding what is the right move for him, which is Crystal Palace. He can ideally heal the defensive woes at Selhurst Park which hurt the South London club badly since the turn of the new year.

If we can claw back 3m from the 5m we paid for him then time to cash in I'm afraid to say.
Providing he doesn't head West then I wish him all the best and thank him for being true pro while a bluebird.

If he goes let's make a speculative punt for James Chester and make him captain if he comes
