Wales v England Fan Zone

I already posted this in the Euros section but I don't think man people read that part of the forum so I've reposted here:

Is anyone without tickets trying to get to the fan zone in Lens?

Obviously we been encouraged not to go due to Lens being "port talbot without the pubs". Apparently once the Fan Zone's 10,000 capacity is reached there will be nowhere to watch the game except a pub by the station which holds 60 people!

Would be great to know what other ticketless Welsh fans will be doing to watch the game

i,m heading for the fan zone .getting there real early to cement a place probably 10 in the morning !

did the fan zone thing in portugal 2004 and a great buzz so deffo a thing to do .

think loads are going to lille as well those without tickets

Did Lens for the last World Cup, ended up on a housing estate watching the game in a small bar, there is absolutely no bars in Lenscbar a small bar at the station

The FSF Euro 16 booklets have arrived at the Wonky Bar Bedwas and The Harp Inn Gelligaer they are 100% free to Welsh fans. I've had a flick through my copy and for those traveling, there is plenty of information on the areas where the games are being played including information on fans zones etc. Definitely worth a read, just call in and grab a copy if your in the area.

Im lucky enough to have a ticket but the lads coming with us are going to stay in the fan zone in Lille as there is much more room there.
Not long now.

I'll be working in Cardiff during the Euros, any fan zone things happening in the city?

I'm living in London atm so will not be able to pick up one of those booklets but I'm sure that information will crop up at some point later!

I was torn between fan park in Lens and the one in Lille but I think that Lille is going to be the better shout as there will be Wales fans by the sound of it and I don't like the sound of asking one of the local Lens residence to watch the game on their tele if I can't get into the fan park

I am staying in Arras which is a 15 minute train journey out of Lens with trains running 3 to 4 times an hour, I understand that a few other people are also doing that, so there could be a good crack there with out the craziness of of a a town called Lens

another good option, Lens will be crazy - nowhere to watch after the fan zones are full so it will blow up & those French police will want it too no doubt
