Last Summer many were hoping for a testimonial match for Super Kev,lets hope maybe this Summer?

Despite the festival of football on show in France, one of the games I was most looking forward to during the off-season was Kevin McNaughton’s testimonial.
After nine years of service, McNaughton was brought back to the club as a guest for the draw with Bristol City back in October. The benefit game was then announced at half time, before Super Kev headed in to the Canton Stand to watch the second half. But nothing has been mentioned since.
With Cardiff in the mix for the top six until very recently and now the search for a new manager, presumably they have had their minds on other things and still have plenty to contend with.

Hopefully this fixture will still go ahead during the summer though. I, like many others I’m sure, have been looking forward to it all season.
Any opportunity to get the old gang back together will always result in me being first in line to lap it up, ever the sentimentalist. McNaughton played with some modern greats during his time at the club and the thought of seeing them again at the Cardiff City Stadium already gets me all misty-eyed.
Here’s hoping that the fixture can be accommodated in the near future and may feature some of the following former favourites; Neil Alexander, Michael Chopra, Stephen McPhail, Darren Purse, Joe Ledley, Roger Johnson, Aaron Ramsey, Chris Gunter, Trevor Sinclair, Craig Bellamy, Jay Bothroyd, Ross McCormack, Chris Burke, Adam Matthews, Gavin Rae, Don Cowie, Mark Hudson, Robert Earnshaw and, last but certainly not least, Jason Koumas.
