Dummy spitting

Fri May 13, 2016 9:27 am

Last time of checking and manager not been announced yet here our fans are spitting their dummies out.
Let's all wait, see who our new manager is and back him 100 percent we are Cardiff City and its high time some of our fans got over their feelings of grandeur. We are not a massive club ( although the potential is certainly there )
Even if we do go for a young youth minded manager ( not my preferred choice)

Why can't we all get behind our club team and manager and start pulling altogether in the same direction and give it our best as supporters instead of spitting our dummies out like spoilt kids, I actually cringe at some posts on threads. Maybe this generation has had it too good in terms of success coz when I started following the standard was shite.

It didn't matter though we were all in it together.
Personally I'm the most excited at close of season than I have been in a long time. Glass half full for me boys so can all you dummy spitters wind your bloody necks in, sit back and enjoy the roller coaster that is Cardiff City FC

The club is a bigger club than when you first supported it, our new custodian did take us to the next level but has left us in a worse state than when he took over (( > debt, < attendance home/away)

I don't see how you can compare the supporters of now and yesteryear in regards to one being more supportive than the other. The big difference is these days, club decisions are more high profile decisions as the club is close to being at elite level

I tried to ignore this post but I can't.

I'm sure your a top man in the flesh but your response was patronising and inaccurate( full of shit if I'm honest.)

My guess would be that this club is not as big as it used to be(historically speaking)And the only way Tan could leave this club in a worse state than when he found it would be to successfully liquidate this club.(factually correct and a matter of public record).

Like reading the Daily Mail on here sometimes.
You need to let go and embrace the current good vibes surrounding our club.

If you see a sh*t post, call it out as one!

financially the club was overstretched (to put it mildly) :laughing6: I do take your point on board that the club found financial security in terms of a billionaire owner, even though the club debt under Tan became easily a record high.

Our league status and standing in the game was very good at the time Tan took full control. Purely discussing our development as a football club, Tan's CCFC has lost the interest of many supporters for numerous reasons

All I was trying to say without being to-the-point, was because the club is making high profile decisions, there is more to discuss.

I don't think our managerial appointments in the 80's early 90's and the people linked to the job was as exciting as it is now

Re: Dummy spitting

Fri May 13, 2016 10:35 am

We just an averaged sized club, historically second or third tier. If we get an uninspiring manager, get behind him.

The fans will never be happy, Warnock a dinosaur and short term - Bellamy no experience etc etc
You can make a case for and against anyone, if they were the perfect manager then they would be managing Real Madrid or Bayern Munich or Leicester  but then no doubt someone would pop up and say we are paying them to much etc.

Whoever is given the job I will give them a chance to prove what they are all about :ayatollah:

I've been supporting the club for around 50 years, and it has always been a mid sized club with attendances varying depending on where we are placed in the league. I would say with the exception of our one season in the Premiere League, we were probably at our biggest in the late 60's/early 70's when we regularly played European football, sometimes doing quite well in the competition. Could bank on between 18,000 and 25,000 in those days.
