Most on here were saying not to long ago ,that immers should be signed as a priority ,after his performances last season ,
But we have just signed him
And all I'm reading is ,we should wait and see if the new manager would want him
What if the new manager doesn't take to him like us fans have
Someone said Well tan signs the players anyway
Must be Trollope taking over then
There is even a thread sticky headline concerns
Bloody hell what do you want ffs
The club can't seem to do anything right for some
Bloody hell this signing IMO shows our intent
Ffs get off the bloody negativity band wagon of last season and look forward
We can't change the past
But we can influence the future

Totally the opposite, I said in my original post that the fans wanted it, and im glad the club has got Immers.
My whole point is that we are buying players regardless or not if the fans want the player without the new managers consent.
How can the new manager have clarity on his position if the players are being bought without him knowing.
That is my point.

Well hopefully we will get a head coach who can work with the squad we give him
Head coach should be able to get the best out of what he got ( we are not looking for a manager)
You say we are buying players
Who are these other players other than immers we have signed

All money spent without the consent of a head coach surely means less opportunity for a head coach to get the players he wants. Doesn't that make the job harder for an incoming head coach to shape the squad as he sees fit?

Firstly you didn't answer the question who are the others we have signed
Secondly how do you know it's £1-2 million ,the last I read the fee was unknown
29 year old is a good age for a goal scoring central mid player
Head coaches don't do all the signing of players they are in charge of coaching
They usually go to a transfer committee and ask for a type of player they would like

Hard to say who signed who as the club intentionally ambiguous in regards to transfers. The only time we are 100% sure is when signings are made without a head coach/manager employed! Ravel Morrison was signed without a manager last term.
The fee will never be disclosed, all we can agree upon is that it's unlikely to be cheap. He had a good season and Feyenoord were left in a good position to sell.
Agree, 29 is a good age. Not a problem. After 2-3 seasons we cannot get what we paid for him if offered on the TM, that is a fact.
Our head coach will be told the transfer budget is almost completely spent if he doesn't arrive soon![]()

Spot on. TBH if the new manager came in and declared Lex was 'not his kind of player' I would be extremely worried about our managerial appointment.
