Wednesday 11th May 2016

Earlier reports claimed the Swans had made Brendan Rodgers their number one managerial target while there had been suspicions that Guidolin would leave after the final game of the season against Manchester City.

On Tuesday evening, though, reports emerged saying it is the Italian who is now in pole position to lead the Swans next season and that details of a deal could be finalised at a board meeting on Wednesday.

It comes after a stunning counter-attacking display against West Ham at the weekend which secured a 4-1 win and Guidolin's side in with a shout of a ninth-placed finish in the Premier League.

Shortly after the news was reported, supporters took to social media to air their views on the prospect of Guidolin extending his stay in SA1. Here's what they had to say...

There were endorsements for Guidolin over previous favourite for the role and ex-boss Rodgers, who has also been linked with Celtic.
