Słade just would not listen !

Tue May 10, 2016 12:10 pm

For all of you who think any improvement we had last season was down to trollope, think again
I was told today that slade would not listen to trollope
The players don't think a lot of slade ,even though they would never say it
The players do rate Trollope
Choo and dalman rate Trollope
And we all know deep down choo and dalman did not rate slade

IMO if Trollope does take over ,slade will have NO influence on Trollope ,and Trollope will have total control of the first team
I believe the job is Trollope,s if he wants it
The above info has come from the club and tan has moved slade upstairs to allow Trollope to take over

I don't think Slade will have any influence whoever is manager to be fair.

Trollope was put in as coach, it wasn't his job to make the key decisions.

If that is the case, then it makes keeping Russell Slade in another capacity pretty futile :?

I can see some sense in keeping Russell Slade if he continues to have the confidence of Vincent Tan but that 'trust' should surely extend to the Chairman and CEO too?? :?

Trollope certainly wouldn't be my choice (I'd be disappointed, if I'm being honest) as I see him as part of the problem and if the players weren't fully on board then recent decisions are even more baffling! :?

Not quite futile. As a coach trollope wouldn't have the final say on tactics or team selection he would just coach what slade tells him too. So on the face of it the team and tactics could look alot different.

Also, I think tan does trust Choo. But he wants a 'football man' to make footballing decisions closer to board level and leave the business decisions to Choo.

I'm expecting it to be Trollope and I'm quite happy if its him. :thumbright: :ayatollah:

I'd be disappointed if it was Trollope also, like you I think he's part of the problem. I think the club need a brand new management team and give the new manager option to bring his own staff

I heard that Whitts took the last few weeks training sessions (last season) in order to start his badges.
