Some people are just obsessed by this guy and his dirty deeds (legal or otherwise) and even think he could still 'do a job' in The Championship IF he gets his conviction overturned (and that isn't cast in stone if you read the decision to re-trial)

I've got my doubts there will even be a retrial.
Using the excuse that the woman does not want to go through it again.
The police and CPS did not disclose all the evidence so they will not be too keen for this to be aired in public.
His career has already been ruined and she will get no new car or holiday, so is there any point?
Should the other man (MacDonald?) also be retried?

It's not a re trial it's a fresh trial with the new 'evidence' to be disclosed
