I think people are making far too much of this!

If Slade's remit was "Top 6 at least", then he has failed on that front and Choo has a point

Personally, I think Choo (who comes across as a straightforward and honest man when spoken to) may have been looking to appease the fans a little in the euphoria of the announcement that the club wanted more from the coach and were brining in a new man!

No one doubts Slade's contribution to Tan's plan off the field and he has now been rewarded with his new role rather than being pushed out of the door having realistically failed (given the above remit) on the field

I'm sure Tan isn't happy with these public comments. I wouldn't be either, as Slade obviously has the respect and trust of Tan as a man and he will want him to be comfortable at the club next season

If talk is to be believed, Dalman and Choo saw where we were heading and would have relieved Slade of his duties some time ago, if they could have and his final fate was alleged to have been sealed after the Bolton game
