Gav, that thought crossed my mind. I could see the announcement "Russell leaves for a fresh challenge" when another club comes in for him. But reading the official statement, I think there is a plan in the making (possibly Bellamy) and Russell Slade might well be here for some time to come

I see your point, but I can't see Bellamy taking advice from anyone let alone someone who seems fairly meek like Slade.

slade is in a very comfortable situation and very well thought of by the hierarchy.. I bet it will be a matter of days or even announced after the game tomorrow that the job is bellamys

If they really do want someone "young, energetic with a stats based approach" that would seem to rule Warnock and several others out.
