Given the club stability and that should not be underestimated in modern game.
Sometimes clubs go down two levels I ensured that was never going to happen here.
We’ve made progress despite the obstacles thrown in our way and I’ve worked hard and my staff to ensure we remained competitive.
We did that by taking it to penultimate game. It hurts not getting in top six. Whoever is manager must learn from that. Progress has been made, that’s a fact. The facts don’t lie.
We finished 11th last year, at least 8th this year so that’s progress.
But it’s not enough progress. We need to find a way.
We need to review and what we need to be doing to ensure we finish top six next season that’s number one on agenda

He arrived when we were 16th,17th but that was only a couple of months into the season mind. Not like we were fighting relegation at the end of the season or anything. We've played poor football there's no good attacking play, we lack decent strikers (despite slade signing 4) results are crap yes the facts don't lie

What is Slade trying to prove?

The team under his charge has been average, and that is not acceptable. he can make all the excuses he likes, and point at the club's state when he arrived but it is may 2016 that counts.

It is a no brainer for our owner -

If a player is out of form he can expect to be dropped. So should a manager...

Totally agree, fear nobody. Big clubs or little clubs can achieve. Fact.

He s right the facts don't lie we are right the facts don't lie ever put a a run of wins together never put the same team out everyweek lost to sides we should have beaten beaten by Shrewsbury in the fa cup which still pisses me off

I've criticised him many times and wanted him moved on but I think what he's saying is true. We have moved forward and stayed competitive and he has stabilised us. Some people just can't give him any credit it's ridiculous
